¡Qué grande Leo! Recuerdo cuando en los comienzos de 2002 me presentaron a Lionel Andrés Messi. Me invitaron a ver un partido entre el equipo cadete B del Barça y El Prat. A ese equipo azulgrana le llamaban Dream Team y pronto me di cuenta por qué. Leo Messi cogía la pelota y se iba de todos los jugadores rivales hasta marcar gol. En aquel momento me parecía como si estuviera siendo testigo de un partido de videojuego. Y si la pelota no la tenía Lionel, uno disfrutaba con un inconmensurable Cesc Fábregas. Un Gerard Piqué que impactaba con su presencia en el área… Songo’o (hoy en el Zaragoza) y Marc Pedraza, se sumaban a la fiesta. Recuerdo la alegría que me produjo verle debutar con el primer equipo en Do Dragao, el nuevo estadio del Porto. Y el durísimo camino que ha tenido que seguir para llegar primero y luego afianzarse en el primer equipo.
Ahora, además de ser la gran esperanza del fútbol argentino de cara al próximo Mundial, es el abanderado de un Barça que deleita, que maravilla y el jugador franquicia de un equipo que provocaría que alguien que nunca ha visto un partido de fútbol, se enamore de este deporte.
Dios sabe lo feliz que me hace que ganes este Balón de Oro Leo. Y creo que vos también. ¡Por muchos más amigo!

Do you think elbow strikes are overrated? Is it as effective as the palm-heel strike to the face?
